Holocaust Remembrance Day 2013

On Sunday, April 7, 2013

the Colorado Hebrew Chorale premiered

It Is Written

a song composed by Osi Sladek, lyrics by Lynne Ochman (1925-1987),

newly arranged for chorus and solo

by Colorado Hebrew Chorale pianist Travis Yamamoto.

This moving and heartfelt prayer for peace,

was performed as part of the annual Holocaust Remembrance Day program

at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, Denver.

 Mr Sladek, a local child survivor of the Holocaust, is an active singer, song writer and performer.

We Stand With Israel

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale community has been united in support for Israel during the past two years. As we rejoice in the return of the last 20 living hostages from captivity, our hearts continue to ache alongside those who have not yet received the remains of their loved ones.

The Chorale's two choirs continue to rehearse and perform during this trying time, for it is what we do as musicians: through music we mourn and through music we continue to assert visions of a hopeful and more peaceful world.
