Christina Jacoby, Assistant Conductor, Colorado Hebrew Chorale

Since receiving her Master of Music in choral conducting at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music in 2023, Christina Jacoby has pursued musical roles in both conducting and performance.

Christina is the Worship Leader for University Park United Methodist Church in Denver, Trinity UMC’s Children’s Musical Director and Chancel Choir Assistant, as well as a frequent performer and occasional guest conductor with the Vittoria Ensemble, an early music group directed by Dr. David McNeil of Colorado Christian University. She was the Music Director of the a cappella group Last Note Singers for three years, and Interim Director for Kol Nashim, the treble-voice choir of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale, in Spring 2024. Occasionally, she also performs at senior-living facilities.

Hailing from Missouri, Christina obtained her BA in music from Drury University in 2021, where she received her training as a mezzo-soprano under Dr. Stephen Bomgardner.  At Lamont School of Music she studied  under Dr. Nathan Payant and Dr. Catherine Sailer.

We Stand With Israel

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale community has been united in support for Israel during the past two years. As we rejoice in the return of the last 20 living hostages from captivity, our hearts continue to ache alongside those who have not yet received the remains of their loved ones.

The Chorale's two choirs continue to rehearse and perform during this trying time, for it is what we do as musicians: through music we mourn and through music we continue to assert visions of a hopeful and more peaceful world.
